Having Cerebral Palsy is difficult, but not being able to fight it is much more difficult.
I will never forget the day when I first learned about Maya’s Hope. When my mama and I were looking for Cerebral Palsy support groups online, we saw a blog post shared on Facebook by one of the therapists at Hong’s Center. tatayyano.tumbler.com posted 4 budget friendly tips in supporting your child with Cerebral Palsy in the Philippines. He mentioned Maya’s Hope.
After knowing about the websites and Facebook page, my mama wrote a letter on Feb. 25, 2015. I could not believe when she told me that they bought a wheelchair for me and they consider sponsoring my therapy. I study hard and work hard during my therapy to achieve my dreams and to prove that I deserve the chance given to me.
When I met tita Maya I just cried maybe because I got scared I might disappoint her or I was just too happy to meet the person who gave “Hope” to me. I would have never got to this day without the love and support of Maya’s Hope. I know I still have a long way to go but with the help of the people who believe in me, I CAN DO THIS!
I will be forever grateful to Maya’s Hope.
I will forever be a CUTIE PIE PRINCESS.
