Hi! I’m Jennifer, the graphic designer, glitter card maker, gala host committee member and all around helper for Maya’s Hope. I started working with Maya and Maya’s Hope in 2014. I found Maya’s Hope on Volunteer Match. When you read a post that is asking for graphic designers who love pink and glitter how can you NOT apply!?? Plus the organization had an amazing mission statement. What Maya’s Hope does for the children of Ukraine and the Philippines really struck a cord with me and I couldn’t wait to help out. I started out doing Facebook images and making glitter cards. Once we got used to each other’s working style, I was making graphics for and updating the website, designing event invites and did all of the graphics for the 2015 Maya’s Hope Gala! Whenever there is a design “emergency” at Maya’s Hope I try to help out the best I can.
I live in Northern NJ with my husband (who helps make glitter cards too!), 4 dogs and a cat who LOVES to sleep in glitter. When I am not helping Maya, I am a Director of Marketing/Creative Director for a Sanitary Gasket and Hose Company. I can’t do enough for Maya’s Hope and the Cutie Pies! I love working with Maya and all of the volunteers. Not only are we doing a great thing, I have met some really amazing people.
