Hello! My name is Myra and I am a volunteer translator for Maya’s Hope. I love to help as it has been one of my core personality traits and when I found that Maya’s Hope needed translators, I didn’t think twice on applying. I am a Filipino-American, born and raised in the Philippines till I moved to New York when I was 11 years old. I am a Medical Student at Our Lady of Fatima University in the Philippines and I am also taking Korean language classes continuing my Korean studies from undergrad. It has been a pleasure to work with such a wonderful team and helping families in need. I hope to keep volunteering and do more when I become a doctor. I believe that everyone deserves to live to see the beauty in the world.
