One Good Deed Deserves Another

We want to introduce you to our beloved graphic designer, Jennifer!

We asked Jennifer… “Why do you do so much for us?”

Why do I help so much? I believe in Karma. One good deed deserves another. People out there with huge hearts that are working so hard deserve help. I’m like an Elf to Santa. I have a talent and Maya’s Hope needed some help. Confession though… the thought of glitter freaked me out at first. It sticks to everything! But when Maya sounded stressed and I had some time around Christmas I packed up my husband and we made the trek to NYC to help. When I walked into her pink office (my fave color) FULL of glitter I thought “This is going to be fun!” Glitter cards I now mass produce at my house on my dining room table. Seeing my images on Facebook make me feel Facebook famous and just helping out makes me happy. I like feeling helpful. Plus it is so much fun. And I have met a great person who has given me some really awesome advice in the process. I help because I want to, I love it because how can you not!?? Cutie Pies and Glitter! Everything is a little better with glitter on it!

Jennifer and her Dad

Jennifer and her Dad

Losing my Dad was probably the hardest thing I have ever gone through. He was not just my Dad but huge part of my life growing up, teaching me some valuable life lessons. He did things for other before himself, and was really selfless. I have kept that with me with everything that I do. I love to see people happy. Everyone deserves some happiness in their lives. When I met Maya and we got to talking I found out that she had also lost a parent; her Mom and that she felt the same way. We both also understand to an extend how the cutie pies that we help feel. There is a huge hole in my heart over the loss of my Dad but I have taken the values he taught me to help others. Between my Dad’s desire to help and Maya’s never ending enthusiasm and love of glitter, it is hard not to be happy and want to help! I feel like I am only doing a small part in the grand scheme of things but it is something and that makes me happy too!
