This one here is no joke … this is the mother of one of our children looking for a sponsor. She has to carry logs like this to sell for firewood and other use. They can barely survive on such a living… and her children just want to go to school like all the rest. Often times her son walks barefoot when he helps carry sticks and logs.

This is how many of the families earn a living in remote areas like Norzagaray in the Philippines. Some will sell fruits and vegetables, some work at a quarry, some make coal… but even if they’re “working”, they can never earn enough to feed their families with such meager earnings. via Maya’s Hope – on Facebook
