From now on, I want to start highlighting the social workers, the volunteers, who make our sponsorship program a success. And when I say “success”, I mean that we’re improving the life of a child… one at a time…

For anyone who knows me, I hate cars. I don’t like driving. But to get to the remote villages, it requires driving 2-3 hours along winding roads, sometimes, unpaved paths… and when we arrive we pour out of a truck.

The laughing ladies here are Agnes and Francia, the social workers in the Barangay of Norzagaray. They find the children who are in greatest need of help. They prepare the casefiles, they provide me with family background, health problems, living conditions… and each and every month, they purchase supplies and necessities for each sponsored child (superstar).

You can see also, our truck is packed with goodies to distribute. Here I am with one of the sponsor children Pamela and I was telling her how big she’s grown. Her sponsor is Leonora from New York. The lady coming out of the van is Nurse Elvie. She is the nurse at Bethlehem House of Bread, and she comes to help just for the sheer fun of it.

So without these ladies, we would not have Maya’s Hope sponsorship in Norzagaray, Bulacan, Philippines… So, if you can, say a little prayer for these ladies. Because they’re our angels… via Maya’s Hope – on Facebook
